About

Helping individuals and teams pause, notice and discover what works best for them.

Meet Kate

I am an experienced facilitator, development programme designer, and qualified coach. Over the years, I’ve worked with a variety of well-known FTSE 250 companies, helping individuals and teams achieve clarity, confidence, and high performance.

I gained my first leadership role at 22, and have always embraced variety in my career. For the past 19 years, I worked with Bev Holden as co-director of The Clear Thinking Partnership Ltd, using all the insight gained from leading teams and delivering results to help others do the same. Interval Thinking now takes me on a new adventure – building on that rich history while exploring fresh ways to help people pause, reflect, and act with confidence.

Outside of work, I care for my three energetic children and indulge my passion for all things dramatic. I am a Trustee of Southport Little Theatre and am currently the Chairman of the Drama Club. While I enjoy directing plays and shaping the theatre’s future strategy, my love of performance also informs my facilitation: noticing patterns, creating energy in the room, and helping moments of insight stick.

Why I do what I do

I have a fascination with what makes people tick and how mindset impacts results. As a Thinking Environment™ facilitator, I create psychologically safe spaces where individuals and teams begin to recognise the intricacies and opportunities within their unique dynamics.

This approach helps teams confidently discover their own recipe for high performance.

If you spend time with me, you’ll notice my curiosity, energy, and optimism. I bring passion and determination to every development challenge and love encouraging the “wisdom in the room” to surface — ensuring learning is grounded in reality and conversation leads to action.

I believe everyone has a unique brilliance and I love helping individuals uncover their leadership “spark.” My approach combines pragmatism with variety to make learning moments engaging, memorable, and impactful — a style shaped by my grounding in the fast-paced retail sector.

Ways you can work with me

My work is about creating space to pause, notice, and reflect. Whether with an individual or a team, I help people understand patterns, identify strengths, and explore potential challenges — all in a safe, respectful environment.

Using Thinking Environment principles and tools like the Emergenetics profile, I get to know the people that I work with, which enables me to create learning environments grounded in clarity, equality, and appreciation.

The goal isn’t to label or fix, but to help you and your team see possibilities more clearly and make choices with confidence.

I combine experience, curiosity, and energy to help individuals and teams pause, notice, and make confident choices about their next steps. My work is grounded in reality, guided by Thinking Environment principles, and designed to make reflection, insight, and learning both practical and inspiring.
